For 10 years I was fortunate in having a paid position as a grant writer and catalyst for social change. A year ago, I resigned this position, and now lead an organization coordinating community efforts on behalf of the homeless and near-homeless. It is daunting. But with my husband, four kids and grandson, I remain optimistic always.

I'm a very family-oriented and easy-going person, considering my passion is in changing the cultural climate. I've been married for 33 years, have four children ages 18-29, and am fortunate to have my beautiful 3-year-old grandson near at hand. I have just started a new career, which is pretty scary since I still have children in school (my youngest is a college freshman, my second oldest has gone back to school for an RN degree, and my oldest is tackling a masters in libary science). My youngest daughter has completed her education with a masters in taxation, but is sitting for her CPA exams. They are all capable and supportive, and we look forward to new challenges.
